Chris Aesoph

Chris Aesoph has focused his volunteer efforts on youth. Over the past few years, he has served with Junior Achievement, Boy Scouts, the Summer Action Camp for Youth, and he has lent his talents to a local community non-profit daycare. Chris is a former journalist and family therapist and has an ongoing interest in writing. He serves as past president of the American Society for Training and Development. He is involved in two community jazz bands, where he plays guitar. Chris founded The Aesoph Group, a firm that does customer research in Canada and the USA for the past 14 years.

Nicole Burgess

Nicole Burgess, a past president of Volunteer Victoria, has been on the board for 10 years. Nicole is an award winning Realtor and a top producer with Pemberton Holmes Ltd. She also has her own business in residential construction. Nicole has a 12-year background in Economic Development for Greater Victoria and is on the board and past president of Sales & Marketing Executives Victoria. She has been involved in many community boards such as Chair of the Sustainable Incomes Committee and a member of the Employer's Task Force (both of the Quality of Life Challenge), and has been on the steering committee of the local Social Purchasing Portal for the region. Nicole is an advocate of entrepreneurial sustainability in the non-profit sector and enthusiastically bridges the non-profit sector with the business community for win-win opportunities.

Randy Delisle

Randy has previously enjoyed being an auctioneer, media contact and volunteer coordinator for Crohn’s and Colitis Canada, a recycler of building materials for Habitat for Humanity and a Recruiter for Leadership Victoria. Prior to becoming a civilian Human Resources Manager at CFB Esquimalt, he worked as an independent consultant specializing in leadership and instructor training, organizational change and career transitions. His not-for-profit work experience includes working as an Employment Program Coordinator for the Francophone Society of Victoria. Randy holds degrees in Translation, Management and Education as well as a Graduate Certificate in Strategic Human Resources from Royal Roads. He is a Certified Technical Trainer and a member of the British Columbia Human Resources Management Association.

Shannon Feeney

Shannon Feeney is the principal of Feeney & Associates, a Victoria-based human resource (HR) management consulting firm that specializes in recruitment, policy and program development; employee/labour relations; and, outplacement and downsizing strategies. Shannon’s 18 years as a skilled HR professional allows her to provide strategic and specialized support to large corporate employers or work as a contracted human resources department for small and medium sized businesses. Shannon led the Employee and Labour Relations Department at Terasen Gas (Vancouver Island) providing in-house HR consulting services to executive, management and staff in a unionized environment with approximately 300 employees and 3 collective agreements. Shannon holds a Certificate in Industrial Relations from Queen’s University and is certified as a Canadian Management Professional through the Institute of Professional Management. She is a member of the BC Human Resources Management Association.

Tracey Gibson

Tracey Gibson is a 4th generation Victorian who loves living on the Westcoast. She has been working in the nonprofit sector for 13 years, and is currently working for the MS Society of Canada as the Manager of Development for the South Vancouver Island Chapter. Over the years she has volunteered with organizations such as TC 10 K Learn to Run Clinics, Bear Wear, & even volunteered for ECO -Challenge New Zealand. Recently Tracey received her Certificate in Executive Coaching and is passionate about helping people find their unique greatness. You can often find her at the beach or in the woods with her two children, husband and chocolate lab.

Nancy Martens

Nancy Martens is Coordinator of Volunteer Resources for the Vancouver Island Health Authority, Queen Alexandra Centre for Children's Health. She holds a degree in Human Services/Counselling from Iowa State University and a certificate in Volunteer Management from Camosun College. She has worked in this field for twenty-nine years. Nancy believes that to effectively manage volunteers she must also be a volunteer. Nancy has been a volunteer with many organizations in Victoria and is in her 20th season with the Belfry Theatre. After an overseas experience with Canadian Crossroads International she volunteered with Project Literacy Victoria. She has held executive positions with the Administrators of Volunteer Resources BC and is an active member. Nancy is also a member of CAVR.

Geoff Stagg C.A.

Geoff Stagg C.A. has been treasurer for the past 19 years and is a Manager with the Financial Audit Unit of the Office of the Auditor General of British Columbia. Geoff has a Master's Degree from Cambridge University and a wide range of experience as a Chartered Accountant with the Office of the Auditor General here in BC and with Coopers & Lybrand in Alberta, the UK and Africa.

Patti Sullivan

Patti Sullivan joined Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Victoria as its Executive Director in 2010. Patti relocated from Manitoba where she served in a number of executive leadership roles including as CEO of the Manitoba Women's Enterprise Centre; Klinic Community Health Centre and COO of Assiniboine Park Enterprise. She also served as Board Chair of the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority; Complaints Commissioner for the Law Society of Manitoba and was an active member of the local Chambers' of Commerce. Winner of the 2006 YM-YWCA Woman of Distinction Award in the Business & Professional Category, Patti has extensive experience serving as a volunteer; developing volunteer programs and leading volunteer based organizations.

Elizabeth Summers CFP

Elizabeth Summers came to Canada from the UK as the wife of a Canadian Naval Officer in 1979. She has lived in many cities including Victoria, Toronto, Halifax, Kingston and Ottawa where she was a freelance writer for many publications and an eager volunteer. She was an inaugural board member of Dawn House Women's Shelter; active on PTAs; on the executive of both Birthright Kingston, the Navy League of Surrey and the Semiahmoo Music Society. She Is a Certified Financial Planner with TD Waterhouse and is looking forward to becoming an active member of Victoria's Volunteer community. Loves literacy, music, fresh air and children.

Zuzanna Szkudlarek

Zuzanna Szkudlarek works in Development with the Sierra Club. She has a bilingual Specialized Honors BA in International Relations from York University and a Certificate of Film Studies. Zuzanna also holds a Certificate of Completion in Volunteer Management through Volunteer Victoria, a Certificate of Completion in Leadership Management and most importantly is a certified Wine Analyst. Zuzanna is an active member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals. Last year Zuzanna joined Volunteer Victoria’s Emerging Leaders Network, and this year is excited to give back by sitting on the Advisory Board. Zuzanna has made many friends while actively volunteering around Victoria in various eclectic roles. Her true loves are her lovely family, a challenging hike and a great adventure.

Jim Tighe

Thirty nine years in the newspaper business took the Tighes from western to eastern Canada and back again, making Victoria their home in 1995. Jim was President of David Black’s newspaper operations on Vancouver Island, retiring in 2006 only to take on contract work for the United Way of Greater Victoria, serving as Community Campaign Manager for the 2009 and 2010 campaigns. Seeing first hand how critical community involvement is to making our area a better place to live, Jim is an involved volunteer in several groups.

Geoff Wong

Geoff Wong specializes in creating strategies that connect his clients to their stakeholders with tangible, measurable results. His work has included the creation of the first national partnership strategy for CBC Television, a provincial sponsorship strategy for ICBC and strategic alliance consulting for Royal Roads University. Geoff has extensive experience in event marketing and sponsorship having worked with Christopher Lang and Associates and The Landmark Group, both headquartered in Toronto. His experience in the non-profit sector includes management and consulting for PacificSport, the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the BC Lions Society and the Greater Victoria Hospitals Foundation. Geoff's passions include his wife and two children and spending time in the great outdoors, preferably on a bike or skis.
